Jeanine Plumer founded Austin Ghost Tours over a decade ago and discovered that to understand ghosts, researching history was the most powerful tool.   Another most interesting discovery; the majority of people who have what they believe to be an encounter with a spirit... DO NOT FEEL FEAR. There are innumerable accounts of haunting events that take place around the time of a death, or at a time of crisis.  A clock stopping, a familiar smell, a light turning on or off, whatever happens, it is personal to the living and often intended to comfort.

Clearly there is something going on around us that we can barely discern. What is it?  To answer this question intelligently, Jeanine Plumer created Haunted Texas and teamed up with KLRU and Rebel Rebel productions.

The Public Broadcast Service is an American non-profit public broadcasting television service with T.V. stations around the country, and affiliates internationally. All of the programming carried by PBS is created by, or produced under contract with other parties, such as individual member stations, such as the Central Texas affiliate KLRU. 60% of public television's revenues come from membership donations and grants.
